The Street Department provides many essential services for the town, including complimentary leaf pickup each fall and curbside pickup of downed tree limbs after storms. The Street Department also offers regular weekly services:

Street Sweeping:

The following streets are swept on Thursdays between the hours of 7am and 3pm, weather permitting; the streets are posted and a $25.00 fine is imposed for parking during those hours.

Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Main, Mill, Penn, Sycamore, Walnut, First, Seward, Circle Dr, Kelsu Drive

Yard Waste:

Yard waste is picked up on Mondays and Fridays, starting at 7am. This service is suspended on December  1st and starts again in the late spring. The yard waste must be placed in paper bags, paper yard refuse bags, or small cardboard boxes. No plastic bags will be allowed. All bags, limbs, and sticks must be placed at the edge of the street in the grass. If you have hired someone to trim your trees or shrubs, they must clean up the trimmings.

The following streets are scheduled for chip and seal beginning July 12, 2023 weather permitting.

• Main Street from Monroe Street to Tyler Street

• Walnut Street from Washington Street to Tyler Street

• Sycamore Street from Madison Street to Tyler Street

• Factory Street from Madison Street to Tyler Street

• Barclay Street from 8th Street to Tyler Street

• 12th Street from Elm Street to Factory Street

• 10th Street & 11th Street from Main Street to Elm Street

• Mill Street from 8th Street to 10th Street and 3rd Street to 4th Street
